Hazard perception test
Hazard perception skills are necessary for safe driving. The hazard perception test is used to assess a driver’s ability to see and respond to the hazards they will face when driving.
The hazard perception test will be a component of the new digital platform which will be launched in 2021. New learner drivers and L1 licence holders will need to pass the hazard perception test before they can attempt a P1 Practical Driving Assessment. L2 licence holders will not have this requirement.
Once it’s available, you will be able to sit the hazard perception test from three months prior to your earliest P1 Assessment date.
